Bangladesh Bank has appointed its executive directors Md Zakir Hossain Chowdhury and Md Kabir Ahmed as the deputy governors on a contractual basis for three years from the date of joining.
The Financial Institutions Division of the Finance Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (8 August).
Earlier, two deputy governors Kazi Saidur Rahman and Khurshid Alam resigned from their posts following the fall of Hasina government in a mass uprising on 5 August.
