The Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has detained Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police Abdullahhil Kafi at the Dhaka Airport in connection with killing and burning students in Ashulia on 5 August.
He was detained at around 10pm on Monday (2 September) as he was trying to flee from the country.
It is to be noted that on 5 August, Kafi was seen in the video footage of students being burnt in Ashulia, Dhaka, after killing them. In the wake of the incident, he is accused of killing and burning the students.
