When Litton Das came to bat, Bangladesh’s scoreboard showed just 26 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. In the next over, the team lost its last main batsman, Shakib Al Hasan, with the score still at 26. From that point, Litton, along with Mehidy Hasan Miraz, formed a fantastic partnership of 165 runs, effectively managing the pressure. Rising from the depths, Litton finally celebrated his fourth century in Test cricket.

In the fifth ball of the 65th over, Litton Das raised his bat to acknowledge his century, marking his first three-figure score in Test cricket since May 2022. His unbeaten innings includes 104 runs off 172 balls, with 11 fours and 2 sixes, and he reached his century on the 171st ball.

The partnership between Miraz and Das, totaling 165 runs for the seventh wicket, is the second-highest seventh-wicket partnership in Bangladesh's Test history. The record for the highest seventh-wicket partnership stands at 196 runs, set by Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan in the first Test of this series in Rawalpindi.
