Floods continue to ravage 11 districts in the country, affecting over 705,000 families, with 59 confirmed dead, one missing, and extensive relief efforts underway

The country's flood situation remains dire with 705,052 families stranded across 11 districts as of Sunday (1 September).

 The number of affected individuals has reached 5,306,402.

Reports confirm that 59 people have died due to the floods, with one individual still unaccounted for.

According to the Disaster Management and Relief Ministry's daily report, the deceased include 41 men, 6 women, and 12 children.

The breakdown of fatalities is as follows: 23 in Feni, 14 in Cumilla, 9 in Noakhali, 6 in Chattogram, 3 in Cox's Bazar, 1 in Khagrachari, 1 in Brahmanbaria, 1 in Lakshmipur, and 1 in Moulvibazar.

The report indicates that 3,870 shelters have been established across the affected areas, housing over 352,000 individuals.

The flood situation in Chattogram, Feni, Khagrachari, Habiganj, Sylhet, Brahmanbaria, and Cox's Bazar has returned to normal.

The situation in Moulvibazar has improved, while Comilla, Noakhali, and Lakshmipur are gradually seeing improvements.

A total of 510 medical teams have been deployed to provide healthcare services to those affected.
