Rezaul Karim Mallik has been appointed as the new chief of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch (DB).
The transfer was announced in an order signed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Moinul Hasan on Sunday (1 September).
The order specifies that Rezaul Karim Mallik, previously an additional police commissioner at the DMP, has been transferred to the role of additional police commissioner at the DB, with immediate effect.
Rezauel Karim Mallik, a 17th BCS batch officer holding the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), joined the Bangladesh Police as an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in 1998.
