A delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has exchanged views on reform ideas in various sectors of the interim government and their thoughts on elections.

In a bid to exchange their views, they met Chief Adviser of the Interim Government Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Thursday (29 August) afternoon.

BNP representatives said that they have full support for the steps taken by the government and they will continue their support in the future.

They requested that the incumbent government should announce the commencement of broad-based dialogue with political parties regarding reforms and elections as soon as possible.

The delegation wanted to know about the economic situation of the country.

However, they asserted that BNP agrees regarding the apprehensions and possibilities that exist in the economic sectors of Bangladesh.

The BNP leaders made the assurance that they will work together and be an integrated partner in the steps taken by the interim government regarding reforms and elections and economic issues.

Advisers of the interim government were present in the meeting include Dr Asif Nazrul and Wahiduddin Mahmud.

BNP Standing Committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed were present on the occasion.
