Md Mokhlesur Rahman has been appointed as the secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.
His appointment is on a contractual basis for a duration of two years, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (28 August).
According to the notification, he has been appointed under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018.
The contractual appointment will be effective from the date he assumes office.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury, the incumbent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
