The Bangladesh Army has contributed an amount equivalent to one day's salary of all its members to the Chief Advisor's Relief Fund to assist those affected by the devastating floods in several regions of the country.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday, the donation aims to support flood victims in Feni, Chattogram, Cumilla, Noakhali, Sunamganj, and Habiganj.
In addition to their active participation in relief operations in the flood-affected areas, army personnel have also engaged in this charitable initiative, demonstrating their commitment to humanitarian efforts, reads the release.
The interim government has launched a fund collection programme to aid those severely impacted by the recent floods. Individuals who wish to contribute can send their donations to the following account:
