Rashed Khan Menon, the president of the Workers Party of Bangladesh, has been arrested.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained him from Gulshan on Thursday (22 August).
Earlier, Mustafa Alamgir Ratan, the convener of the party's central media division, stated that Rashed Khan Menon was detained by plainclothes officers identifying themselves as members of the Detective Branch (DB) from his Banani residence at 5:15pm.
