A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban on Taqsem A Khan, the former Managing Director of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA).

Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain passed the order today following a hearing on a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Syed Nazrul Islam, the ACC Deputy Director and Investigation Officer of the case, submitted the petition arguing that the ongoing investigation against Taqsem A Khan could be severely hindered if the accused were to leave the country.
