Army personnel are working to rescue flood-affected people in the Parshuram and Fulgazi upazilas of Feni district, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army is using speed boats and helicopters in the operation, the agency added.
Water from upstream has flooded several eastern and southern districts, including Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Comilla, and Sylhet, after neighboring India opened its Dumboor Dam in Tripura a day ago.
