In a tragic turn of events, 3 members of a single family lost their lives in a landslide in the Shilkhali Union of Pekua Upazila, Cox's Bazar.
The incident occurred late on the night of Saturday (17 August), said Pekua Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Ilias.
The deceased have been identified as Momtaz Begum, 38, her daughter Moinna Begum, 11 , and son Toha Mia, 7.
"We received news of the deaths of three members of a family due to a landslide in a remote area of Pekua. Our team is on its way to the location," said OC Ilias.
