The government has canceled the contracts of nine secretaries and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem.
This information was confirmed in an order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (14 August).
The removed officials include: KM Abdus Salam, Secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat; ABM Aminullah Nuri, Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division; Lokman Hossain Mia, Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA); Satyajit Karmakar, Senior Secretary of the Planning Division; Mokammel Hossain, Secretary of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry; Begum Wahida Akhter, Secretary of the Agriculture Ministry; Md. Ali Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Secretary of the Ministry of Railways; Md. Khairul Islam, Executive Member (Secretary) of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).
