In another significant reshuffle within Bangladesh's defence establishment, Major General Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid has been appointed as the Director General of the National Security Intelligence (NSI).
Concurrently, Major General Mohammad Asadullah Minhajul Alam has been designated as the Commandant of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), while Major General Khandaker Mohammad Shahidul Emran assumes the role of Commandant at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA).
The developments were announced through a media release by the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) on Tuesday (13 August).
On 12 August, Major General Md Faizur Rahman was appointed as the director general of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI).
At the same time, Major General Md Nasim Parvez has been designated as the commandant of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), while Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud has been appointed as the director general of the Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP).
