Interim government's Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has expressed his vision of a Bangladesh where every citizen is regarded as part of one family, irrespective of religious or cultural differences.

"We are all Bangladeshis, and that is what we aim to ensure," Yunus said during a meeting with leaders of the Hindu community at Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka on Tuesday (13 August).

Yunus underscored the importance of viewing oneself not through the lens of religious identity but as a human being with inherent rights.

He advocated for a system where democratic aspirations are fulfilled by ensuring that every individual’s rights are protected, regardless of their faith.

He also highlighted the degradation of institutional structures as a root cause of current societal disruptions and called for their restoration.

"To ensure justice, we must rectify our institutional frameworks," Yunus asserted, stressing that justice should be universal and not selective.

In his address, Yunus appealed to all Bangladeshis to stand united in their quest for equal rights and fairness, asserting that equal rights should be upheld for everyone in the country.
