Protesters gather at High Court demanding chief justice's resignation

Hundreds of protesters have taken position in front of the High Court demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan and all pro-Awami League judges.

Students began gathering at the High Court premises from 10:30am on Saturday (10 August). They were seen chanting various slogans calling for the resignation of the Chief Justice and the pro-Awami League judges.

Hasnat Abdullah, coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, announced that if the Chief Justice does not resign by 1:00pm, they will proceed to lay siege to his residence.
