Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the newly appointed Chief Adviser of the interim government, will stay at the State Guest House Jamuna.
The Foreign Ministry's protocol division has officially allocated Jamuna for Dr. Yunus, who is expected to arrive there after his swearing-in ceremony at Bangabhaban tonight.
On Thursday (8 August), intensive preparations began at the guest house, with workers trimming overgrown trees and sprucing up the premises.
Despite the ongoing preparations, a full security perimeter has not yet been established around Jamuna. However, personnel from the army, Ansar, and other law enforcement agencies are currently overseeing security measures.
Dr. Yunus's appointment as the Chief Adviser was proposed by the protesting students, and it was approved by President Md. Sahabuddin. The interim government will be formed under his leadership.
