Ssecurity has been tightened at around the President's official residence, Bangabhaban, as the interim government led by Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus is set to take the oath tonight at 8pm.

Since the afternoon of Thursday, increased military patrols have been observed in the area.

Various diplomats stationed in the country have been invited to the ceremony, along with over 400 domestic and international guests. The guests are expected to enter Bangabhaban later in the afternoon.

In light of the recent government collapse, police officers have faced public unrest, leading to a shortage of traffic police on the streets. To manage traffic around Bangabhaban, students are currently overseeing traffic control, with assistance from Ansar members.

According to student demands, Dr. Yunus was unanimously appointed to head the interim government on the night of 6 August.

Additionally, various sources indicate that the interim government may consist of 20 members, including representatives from civil society, educators, student leaders, minorities, indigenous groups, and scholars, all under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
