Hundreds of officials from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) have demonstrated demanding the resignation of its chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem.
They staged a demonstration at the tax administrator's office on Wednesday (7 August).
The protesters presented their nine-point demands and urged the authorities to appoint people from the customs or income tax cadres as the chief of NBR, rather than those from the administration cadre.
Officials noted that NBR Chairman Muneem was absent from the office today.
