205 Indian citizens leave Dhaka on Air India special flight

The chartered flight, operated with an A321 neo aircraft, took off from New Delhi late Tuesday night and returned with 205 passengers, including 199 adults and six infants.

Two-hundred-five Indian citizens, including six infants, left Dhaka for New Delhi on Wednesday morning, reports NDTV, quoting an official.

The chartered flight, operated with an A321 neo aircraft, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport without any passengers on Tuesday night.

Air India is scheduled to commence its scheduled operations of two daily flights from New Delhi to Dhaka starting Wednesday. On Tuesday, Air India had canceled its morning flight but successfully operated the evening flight to Dhaka.

Other airlines, including Vistara and IndiGo, will also be resuming their scheduled services to Dhaka. Vistara operates daily flights from Mumbai and three weekly flights from New Delhi to Dhaka. IndiGo typically operates one daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai to Dhaka, and two daily flights from Kolkata. Both airlines had canceled their Tuesday flights to the Bangladesh capital.
