Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman will hold a meeting with student and teacher representatives very soon.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced this in a press release on Monday (5 August).
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation followed a series of protests led by the Students Against Discrimination. After her resignation, General Waker-Uz-Zaman met with political leaders and prominent figures at the Army Headquarters to address the current national crisis.
General Waker-Uz-Zaman also announced that an interim government will be formed soon.
"Sheikh Hasina has resigned as prime minister; now an interim government will be established today. I will meet with the President now to discuss it," he said while addressing the nation at 4 PM on Monday (5 August).
