Following the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka has been declared closed.
As of Monday (5 August) at 4:45pm, all flight operations at the airport have been suspended, confirmed Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam, the Executive Director of the airport.
The operation of the airport has been halted for the next six hours, said an ISPR statement issued by Lieutenant Colonel Sami-Ud-Dowla Chowdhury of the Bangladesh Army.
