Public transport services halted as indefinite curfew takes effect

Bangladesh Road Transport Workers' Federation has announced the suspension of all transport services during an indefinite nationwide curfew imposed for public safety amidst ongoing unrest

In response to the current nationwide unrest, an indefinite curfew has been imposed across the country. Consequently, the Bangladesh Road Transport Workers' Federation has decided to halt all vehicular operations during the curfew period.

The federation made This announcement public in a statement on Sunday (4 August). 

The federation's notice articulated that, in light of the prevailing acts of sabotage and disorder, the government has declared a curfew to ensure the safety of its citizens.

It also requested all owners and workers in Bangladesh to suspend vehicular operations during the curfew to safeguard lives and property.
