Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has labelled those protesting as terrorists and urged the nation to act decisively.
"Those currently engaging in acts of sabotage are not students; they are terrorists," she said during the meeting of the National Committee on Security Affairs on Sunday (4 August), sources present said.
"I call upon the nation to suppress these terrorists with a firm hand," she added.
The meeting started at around 11am on Sunday at Ganobhaban following widespread unrest in the country.
