Thousands of protesters have gathered at the Central Shaheed Minar premises, bringing out processions from various locations in Dhaka on Saturday to protest against the recent killings, injuries, and arrests of students amid the quota reform movement.
The protesters, including students, teachers, doctors, musicians and the general public, began gathering at Shaheed Minar around 1pm today.
The quota reform protest platform, the Anti-Discriminatory Students Movement, announced a demonstration programme at the Shaheed Minar area at 3pm.
Yesterday, protesters of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced a countrywide demonstration today and an indefinite non-cooperation movement from Sunday, (4 August).
