A collision between a passenger bus and a lorry on the Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway in the Ahladipur area killed at least two unidentified bus passengers and injured at least five others.
"The incident took place in front of the TTC building on the highway at around 7am on Friday (2 August)," said the Ahladipur Highway Police Station
Among the injured, two individuals in critical condition were transferred to Faridpur Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital, while the other three are receiving treatment at Rajbari Sadar Hospital.
According to eyewitness accounts, the accident occurred when a passenger bus of Rahul Paribahan and a lorry collided head-on in front of the TTC building.
Several individuals sustained severe injuries.
Locals promptly rescued the injured and transported them to Rajbari Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared 2 individuals dead.
