In the Chattogram court area, protesting students, supported by a section of lawyers, are staging a sit-in as part of the 'March for Justice' programme.

On Wednesday (31 July), starting from 10am, students began gathering in front of the District Council building under the banner of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. After spending some time in front of the building, a section of lawyers led the students from the court premises, joining them in a procession with slogans, and entered the court grounds. During this time, the agitated protestors blocked other lawyers from entering the court.

As of 11:30am, a section of lawyers and leaders and activists of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement are staging a sit-in in front of the Doel building in the court area. They are chanting various slogans, including 'We Want Justice.'

Meanwhile, a large number of law enforcement officers are present alongside the lawyers and students.
