Another case was filed with Panchlaish thana of Chattogram for throwing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists from a six storied building in city's Muradpur area during a clash over quota reform movement.

Panchliash thana police filed the case against 50 people and 30-35 more unidentified people on Sunday (28 July), said CMP Media and Public Relations Department Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kazi Md Tarek Aziz.

With this, a total of 20 cases have been registered with different police station in the city regarding the clashes surrounding the quota movement, he added.

Kazi Md Tarek Aziz also told the journalists that a total of 516 people have been arrested in the port city so far in 20 cases of sabotage.

Following their pursuit by the demonstrators during the clash, a number of Chhatra League activists sought refuge on the top of a six-story building close to the Muradpur crossroads. 

BCL men attempted to scale the roof using the sanitary pipe when the protesters assaulted them as well. In addition, a video that showed them being thrown from the building went viral on social media sites like Facebook and YouTube.
