Sri Lanka secured their first Women’s Asia Cup title, defeating India by 8 wickets in the final at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Sunday.

India, batting first after winning the toss, posted a score of 165/6 in 20 overs.

Sri Lanka, led by a strong performance from Chamari Athapaththu, Harshita Samarawickrama, and Kavisha Dilhari, chased down the target in the 19th over.

Despite a setback when Athapaththu was dismissed for 61 in the 12th over, Harshita's counter-attacking half-century and Dilhari’s powerful hitting guided Sri Lanka to victory in front of a packed Dambulla crowd.
