The Ministry of Home Affairs transferred a total of 55 senior police officials, including two Additional Inspectors General of Police, on Sunday (28 July).

The Public Security Division of the Ministry issued four separate notifications in this regard.

Among the transferred officials are five Additional Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) and 48 Superintendents of Police (SP).

The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Sheikh, following the order of the President.

In the notifications for the Additional IGP transfers, AKM Shahidur Rahman and Krishna Pada Roy were placed from their supernumerary positions to regular assignments.

The notification for the Additional DIG transfers listed five officers being reassigned to new posts.

Regarding the SP rank, one notification detailed the transfer of 32 officers, while another outlined the transfer of 16 officers.

The notifications stated that these orders were issued in the public interest and would be effective immediately.
