A good number of noted personalities in respective fields have strongly condemned the recent terrorist and destructive acts took place across the country centring quota reform.
They issued a joint statement on Friday (26 July) , condemning the violent incidents by a vested quarter. The noted citizens urged countrymen to remain vigilant against the anarchy.
According to the statement, many valuable lives, including pedestrians, students and members of law enforcing agencies, have been lost in the attacks, vandalism and arson.
They paid profound tributes to those killed in the violent acts of the multiple days. They called upon for better treatment at hospitals for the injured people.
They hoped that the country will recover soon the economic losses incurred by the mayhem.
Bangladesh Television Bhaban, Setu Bhaban, metro-rail, BRTA, Department of Disaster Management, data center, jail, DGHS and newly constructed expressway were damaged through subversive acts including arson attacks and vandalism.
The citizens also condemned the incident of looting arms and helping to flee the terrorists and militants from Narsingdi jail.
