Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, who is also the ruling Awami League's (AL) general secretary, said his party is fully prepared to tackle any form of conspiracy against Bangladesh, the Liberation War and democracy.
Speaking to journalists at a coordination meeting of the Dhaka North Awami League at the party office in Tejgaon on Thursday (25 July), Quader emphasised the party’s readiness to counteract any threats.
He urged the public not to fall prey to rumours, warning that misinformation about terrorism and drug-related issues could lead to disastrous consequences for the youth.
"We must combat these rumours vigorously," Quader asserted.
He also accused the BNP of strategically appointing known terrorists for attacks, alleging a pre-planned blueprint for orchestrating violence and disrupting peace.
Obaidul Quader also called for unity under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to maintain peace and stability.
