State Minister for Post, Telecommunication, and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will hold a press conference at the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission building at 4pm on Wednesday (24 July).
According to the Post, Telecommunication, and Information Technology Public Relations Officer M Shefayet Hossain, the conference will focus on the trial resumption of internet services.
Internet services have been partially restored after a nearly five-day blackout, prompted by widespread unrest and violence across the country.
The nationwide curfew is now in its fourth day.
Broadband internet services were resumed at around 8pm on Tuesday (23 July).
The unrest began on Wednesday (17 July) when a student protest demanding reforms in the government job quota system turned violent.
Miscreants infiltrated the movement, causing widespread vandalism of public properties, government offices, and infrastructure, setting many on fire.
