Trains from Kamalapur Railway Station have been departing on schedule since this morning while the city streets remain largely empty of vehicles amid the nationwide “Complete Shutdown” programme being enforced by the protesters of the quota reform movement.
Mohammad Anwar Hossain, the counter master at Kamalapur Railway Station, confirmed the matter to Bangladesh First on Thursday (18 July).
He said although trains are departing as per schedule, the number of passengers is very low.
