40 injured on DU campus as police fire teargas, sound grenades

At least 40 people, including seven journalists, have been injured in the ongoing quota reform movement on Dhaka University (DU) campus.

Among the injured journalists are Bhaskar Bhaduri, a senior reporter of Jamuna Television, and Tarek, a reporter of Daily Kalbela.

Additionally, SI Ibrahim, the in-charge of the Azimpur Police Outpost, was injured in Nilkhet area.

Abdul Hannan Masud, one of the coordinators of the Anti-discriminatory Student Movement, was injured near the Vice Chancellor's office, according to the data provided by the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) information centre.

At this time, the police used sound grenades and fired tear gas at the protesters to disperse them.
