Individuals who led the protests chanting slogans in support of 'Razakar' are being identified, Awami League Joint General Secretary and Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said on Tuesday.

"Those who led protest with slogans in favor of Razakar are being identified. It is crucial to take action against those who have taken an anti-state stance by chanting slogans in support of Razakar," Hasan said.

He made these remarks on Tuesday afternoon during a discussion meeting at the Dhaka District Awami League office, commemorating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's imprisonment day.

The foreign minister said the Prime Minister's statements during a press conference after her visit to China have been misrepresented.

"The Prime Minister clarified that the quota issue is currently sub judice, and the government cannot take any action until the court's directive. Misunderstanding this point amounts to contempt of court," he noted.

Referring to the ongoing protests, Mahmud said, "This movement is equivalent to contempt of court. It is a blatant disregard for the Supreme Court and the constitution of the country."
