The fair began for the first time at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center on Thursday (11 July) under the auspices of Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

Bangladesh joined the three-day long 35th Malaysia International Machinery Fair 2024.

The fair began for the first time at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center on Thursday (11 July) under the auspices of Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

A total of 780 institutions of 10 countries, including Bangladesh, are participating in the fair inaugurated by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation Deputy Chief Executive Officer Abu Bakar Yusof.

China, Germany, Korea Indonesia, Taiwan, Iran, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Singapore are among participating cpuntries.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Md. Shameem Ahsan visited the fair and the Bangladesh stall on the second day today.

The items exhibited in the Bangladesh stall include plastic items, readymade dresses, leather goods, jute products, food items.

Additionally, a variety of publications about Bangladesh trade and investment, the packaging industry, and the light engineering sector are on exhibit. 

Also being screened are documentaries about investment opportunities in Bangladesh and tourism sector.
