Heavy early morning rains under the influence of monsoon caused severe waterlogging in several parts of the capital city of Dhaka.
The rain which began around 6:30am on Friday (12 July) led to waterlogging in several areas including Malibagh, Moghbazar, Shantinagar, Farmgate, Badda, Mirpur, and Khilkhet.
However, the rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, helped to alleviate the temperature.
The presence of traffic on the road has been thin since morning.
The downpour also caused significant hardships for examinees of the 18th teacher registration written exam in Dhaka this morning. Also, working people who come out from the home at the beginning of the day face difficulty reaching workstations.
