Five young people were crushed to death under a train in Raipura upazila, Narsingdi, on Monday (8 July).
Locals found the dismembered bodies around 8:30am in Kamalpur area near Methikanda railway station.
Railway police assume the youth died after falling off the roof of the Dhaka Mail train while traveling from Chattogram.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be determined.
Four of the deceased were aged between 18 and 20 years old, while the remaining one was likely over 20, said Narsingdi Railway Police In-Charge (Sub-Inspector) Shahidullah.
Police have arrived at the scene and have begun the process of recovering the bodies, he added.
