BNP is burning after seeing the good relations of Bangladesh with everyone, said Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.

Dr Hasan, also Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League (AL), came up with this observation while addressing as chief guest at the Preeti Journalist Sammilan and cultural program held at Bangabandhu Hall of Chattogram Press Club on Saturday (6 July) night.

Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Chattogram Division organized the event.

He said the doctrine of Bangladesh's foreign policy  is Friendship to all malice towards none. Keeping it in mind the present government wants to precede the country maintaining good relations to all, he added. 

He asserted that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is following that policy with great success.

As part of the foreign policy, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina visited India a few days ago and now he will visit China, he said.

"Similar to our excellent relationship with India, we also have excellent ties with China. We enjoy excellent bondage with the United States in addition to our excellent relations with Russia," Hasan said.

Bangladesh is maintaining good relations with our close neighbor India as it contributed to our great liberation war, he added.

The foreign ministed lamented that many people, including BNP, pretend not to understand the fact.

BFUJ President and BSS Chief News Editor Omar Faruk presided over the function.

State Minister for Finance Wasika Ayesha Khan, State Minister for Labor and Employment Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, former Information 

Advisor to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, former BFUJ president Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and its secretary general Deep Azad, among others, addressed the function as special guests.
