The government is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, regardless of who commits it, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Wednesday (26 June).

“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the Anti-Corruption Commission to exercise a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. The commission has the right to investigate any corruption allegation, and the government has never interfered with that freedom,” Quader said.

He made these remarks at an event to inaugurate the shuttle bus service for Dhaka airport passengers.

Quader added, “The government has a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, and nobody can escape the law after committing corruption.”
