Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by eight runs to secure their place in the T20 World Cup semifinal.
This victory for the Afghan team also means elimination for the Australian team.
The match started at 6.30 am (Bangladesh Time) at Kingstown in St Vincent on Tuesday (25 June).
Winning the toss, Afghanistan opted to bat first against Bangladesh.
Afghans scored 115 runs after losing five wickets in 20 overs.
After losing two straight defeats to Australia and India, Bangladesh's hope to make it last four stages looked all but ended but a stunning Afghanistan victory over mighty Australia gave them a slim hope.
