BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been taken to Evercare Hospital in the capital in the early hours of Saturday as she fell ill suddenly.
Khaleda’s personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said the BNP chief was rushed to the hospital by ambulance around 3:05 am and she was admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) at 3:30 am.
On 1 May, Khaleda last went to Evercare Hospital for a health check-up and she was treated at the CCU for two days.
The former premier has been suffering from age-old various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and issues related to the kidney, lung, heart, and eyes.
