State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Enamur Rahman has left Dhaka to visit the flood-affected areas in Sylhet.
He was scheduled to arrive in Sylhet by air at 11am on Wednesday (19 June. However, the flight has not yet arrived, said Sajlu Laskar, Public Relations Officer of Sylhet City Corporation.
The minister plans to visit flood-affected regions in Companiganj, Bishwanath, Osmaninagar, South Surma, and Sylhet City Corporation to assess the situation and distribute relief materials to the affected people.
He is expected to leave Sylhet by air later in the night.
