7 seasonal traders fined Tk27,000 for unauthorised rawhide trading in Dhaka

The traders were fined for causing obstructions to public movement by setting up trucks and vans on the streets in the Science Lab and Joykali Temple areas in Dhaka.

Seven seasonal rawhide traders have been fined a total of Tk27,000 by the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) for unauthorised buying and selling of rawhide, causing obstructions to public movement by setting up trucks and vans on the streets in the Science Lab and Joykali Temple areas in Dhaka.

In the Mirpur Road area adjacent to Science Lab and Labaid Hospital, the DSCC's Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate, Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, imposed fines totaling Tk21,000 on five seasonal leather traders across five cases.

Meanwhile, in the Joykali Temple area, the corporation’s Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate, Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain Sarkar, imposed fines amounting to Tk6,000 on two seasonal leather traders across two cases.
