At least two people were killed in a head-on collision between a covered van and a motorcycle in Tangail’s Ghatail. The incident also left one other person injured.
"The accident took place around 8am in the Kadamtali area of the upazila on Thursday (12 June)," Ghatail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Salam Mia said.
"A head-on collision occurred with a covered van in the Kadamtali area. One person died on the spot. Another died after being taken to Kalihati hospital," he added.
The deceased have been identified as Badsha Mia from Kadamtali and Jewel from Kashtala village.
The bodies will be handed over to their families after completing legal procedures, said the police official.
