Digital transaction facilities have been opened in six cattle markets located in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the digital transaction programme at its Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan in the city yesterday (12 June) to facilitate trade for Eid-ul-Azha.
Digital transaction is secured for both buyers and sellers, he underscored, adding, digital booths will be available at the markets to facilitate direct fund transfers from buyer to seller.
Additionally, buyers may make transactions using POS machines and mobile financial service booths, as well as withdraw cash using debit or credit cards from ATM booths.
Brac Bank, Bank Asia, City Bank, Islami Bank, AB Bank, IFIC Bank, Pubali Bank, along with Mastercard, Amex, Visa, bKash, and Nagad will provide digital transaction facilities at these markets.
Mastercard, Amex, Visa, bKash, and Nagad are included as payment options.
