The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has rescheduled the questioning of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed’s wife and two daughters to 24 June.
The extension was granted following a request from their lawyer, a senior ACC source confirmed the information to BFirst on Sunday (9 June).
On May 28, the anti-graft body issued a notice to Benazir and his family for interrogation over allegations of amassing illegal wealth through corruption.
According to the notice, Benazir was summoned to appear before the ACC last Thursday to address allegations of accumulating wealth beyond known sources of income. However, he requested a 15-day extension and did not appear on that day.
Subsequently, the ACC has rescheduled Benazir's interrogation to 23 June to address these allegations.
