The government has fixed the price of the rawhides of the sacrificial animals at Tk55-60 per square foot.
“Price of salted cowhide in Dhaka has been set at Tk55-60 per square feet and Tk50-55 outside Dhaka,” State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu announced the price after a meeting regarding fixing the price of raw leather on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha at the Secretariat on Monday (3 June).
“Compared to the last Eid, the price of rawhide per square foot has been increased by Tk5. Also, the minimum price per piece of rawhide has been fixed. In this case, the price of each piece of cowhide in Dhaka has been fixed at Tk1,200 and Tk1,000 outside Dhaka,” he added.
The state minister also said that the price of goat rawhide has been increased by Tk2-5 per square foot this time.
Price of goat rawhide has been fixed at Tk20-25 per square foot.
