Four items – rice, sugar, lentil and soybean oil - will be sold to one crore family cardholders across the country, including Dhaka, through the designed dealers of the TCB.

Ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha, the state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will start selling essential items across the country today (2 June) at a subsidized rate.

State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu will inaugurate the program at Mirpur-11 Pallabi Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni playground on Sunday, said a press release issued on saturday (1 June).

Four items – rice, sugar, lentil and soybean oil - will be sold to one crore family cardholders across the country, including Dhaka, through the designed dealers of the TCB.

As per the latest subsidised rate, rice will be sold at Tk 30 per kg while lentil will be sold at Tk 6o.

Besides, soybean will be sold at TK 100 per litre, and sugar at Tk 70 per kg, adds the release of the trading corporation.

A cardholder can purchase a maximum of two liters of soybean oil, two kg of lentils, one kg of sugar and five kg of rice.
